FFSOG Message

Jesus, the Door to the Kingdom of Heaven, is the Word of God made flesh. The Word of God became flesh because God gave humanity dominion over the earth. When humanity disobeyed God’s command, they forfeited their authority in the earthly realm to Satan. This disobedience—known as the Fall—separated God from His creation. However, God’s deep love for His creation led Him to establish a plan to reconcile humanity back to Himself.

God, knowing that the wages of sin is death, recognized that only a human could pay the price for sin, as He had given dominion of the earth to humanity. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, the Word of God, to live on earth as a perfect man and to pay the penalty of a sinful man—death. Jesus’ death on the cross was the sufficient and ultimate payment for sin. With the wages of sin paid in full, everyone who believes in Jesus, the Son of God, is forgiven of their sins and is no longer condemned or guilty.

This is the purpose of Jesus Christ: to pay the wages of sin, which is death, and to set free all who believe in Him from sin and guilt, thereby making them righteous in the sight of God. After Jesus died, He descended to the depths of the earth, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. Through His resurrection, He triumphed over death and reclaimed the authority and dominion that humanity had forfeited in the beginning. All of this was necessary to prepare for the coming of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, a gift from God, is the presence of God dwelling with those who believe in Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, believers can perceive and experience the Kingdom of Heaven. Why is this gift only for those who believe in Jesus? Because those who do not yet believe in the Son of God have not received the forgiveness that comes through faith, and therefore, their sin remains unpaid.

The wages of sin is death. Jesus’ death bought our freedom. Believe in Him and be free.
