Inside The History of Creation (THC) Collection

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters....

Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were  above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament HEAVEN. So the evening and the morning were the second day....

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land (terra firma) EARTH, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.”

Genesis 1:1-2, 6-10

The significance of The History of Creation collection is the truth of it being completely inspired and derived from the Bible. The first book of Genesis was ground zero for this collection. This being the first body of work I’ve made that is directly connected to truth and not to my own biased opinion, is what really amps up the importance of not only the garment itself but also what the garment is saying. All I’m trying to do is spark a conversation that may not have had a door of opportunity to come to fruition if these garments weren’t created. And for that alone I thank and give all glory to God.

The patience that went into the THC collection is what lead to the sophistication behind it. I sat on the knowledge of this collection for over a year, while God continued to reveal to me piece by piece how it was supposed to transpire. Now, what’s been made is infinite; able to withstand the test of time. And that’s something we don’t see too often in this instant gratification era we’re living in.

The term Terra Firma originated in Latin and means firm land. Firm land or dry land is what God called Earth in the first book of Genesis verse nine. Firmament which is defined in the Bible as being Heaven, was created by God along side the earth in Genesis one verse six. It’s important for people to know that God created everything we see around us, so we then look in the mirror and see that God created us as well. Shedding light on this truth is what may lead to someone being purpose filled in life rather than hopeless.

I'm not here to force the Bible down anyone’s throat, that’s the last thing i want to do, but I am here to walk in representation of God and be a beacon of light. I want to make people hungry for the truth and allow God to inspire people through me. As my personal relationship with God deepens the greater responsibilities I gain. If you take God out of the equation life becomes purposeless, but God implicated in any equation makes all things possible.

The History of Creation Collection is only the start. I look forward to what God will do next. Until then, seek God diligently.

“This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.”

Genesis 2:4-6
